Rose:
“One time, my 3-year-old student created his own version of the ‘one little finger’ song where you put your finger on different body parts, such as your head and nose. He very proudly showed me and the class his version where you ‘put it on your bottom’.”
Hollie:
“After asking one of my talented kindergarten students how she was feeling one morning, she quickly replied “I’m angry because it’s cold outside.”. Before I had the chance to respond, she swiftly raised her finger as if she’d figure out the meaning of E=MC^2 and proclaimed “BUT! I’m happy because the cold never bothered me anyway” before swishing her dress around like Elsa from Frozen and strutting away.”
KING (WeChat):
King’s student just REALLY likes chicks…
Elliot:
“I was teaching plants and life in the soil (worms, snails, bugs etc.) to my K1 students using the sentence structure, “What’s this? This is a ___”. One student approached me and says, “Teacher, Look! Small snails!”. I looked and thought, “Those are very weird snails”. Turns out it was bird poop. In that moment, I thought “Ok, soil activity over, let’s go wash our hands!”
