2. The ancient city of Pingyao
Ahh, the walled city famed for its importance in Chinese economic history. What was once known as the banking capital of China is now known as a ghost town, literally. 3. The Yangtze River bridge, Wuhan
The Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is known as one of the first highway-railway bridges to span over the Yangtze River, but that’s not all. This notorious bridge is also known as one of the most haunted places in China. Local legends say that the ghost of a woman who died on the bridge still haunts it, causing strange occurrences and scaring those brave enough to cross it at night. As the story goes, the woman took her own life after being left by her lover, and her spirit remains on the bridge seeking revenge.
4. The Drum and Bell tower, Beijing
Tucked away in the bustling metropolis of Beijing lies an iconic tower with a rich history steeped in tradition and mystery. As the legend has it, the old academy is filled with the roaming spirits of former soldiers and officers. Visitors have reported ghostly phantoms of soldiers marching and strange noises coming from the building.
