A PGCE is a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. This qualification gives you a more thorough in-depth understanding of teaching practices and educational research. You will have assignments and in-class assessments, which will vary slightly depending on the PGCE course you choose. Online PGCEs can be studied at most or the majority of universities and can be taken either as a full time option or, in a smaller number of cases, as a flexible part time course. You can take a variety of different PGCE courses through Distance Learning on a flexible basis too, however it is required that you’re working with a British curriculum.
